Juanita Nell Wampler

Juanita Nell Wampler, 86, passed away February 8, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. Juanita was born to Alfred Wilbur and Nancy Ethel Coffey in Monticello, KY, on May 1, 1937. She enjoyed a happy childhood in Kentucky and then moved to Indianapolis, IN as a teenager. She spent the majority of her adulthood as a homemaker, and raised her three children in Indianapolis. She spent 39 wonderful years married to her loving husband, Carlos “Buzz” Wampler until his passing. Together they loved to travel with their closest friends. They were also proud members of the LDS church. Juanita leaves behind her children, Doug (Tina) Harding, Peggy Allanson, Beth Burton, Renauta (Jim) Sayre, Richard Wampler, and Carla (Joe) Prince. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ethel Coffey; husband, Carlos “Buzz” Wampler; stepson, William “Willie” H. Wampler; granddaughter, Tina Scofield Baker; siblings, Howard (Cleo) Coffey, Margaret (Bill) Mason, and Barbara (Ted) Phelan. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1pm at The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12257 Temple Drive, Carmel, IN 46032, with a service to start at 1pm. Graveside services and interment were held Monday, February 19, 2024 at Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter House at 1pm. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, IN. Local arrangements provided by Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home, Monticello, KY.
