Virginia “Juanita” Vaughn

Virginia “Juanita” Vaughn, age 78 of Jamestown, TN, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at her home. She was born January 22, 1946, in Monticello, KY; the daughter of the late Oliver and Lona (Brumley) Sullivan. Along with her husband, Lee Vaughn, she is survived by: two sons, Amos Laxton, Jr. and James Vaughn; one daughter, Joyce Smith (Mark); and one she raised as her own daughter, Jennifer Crabtree; three grandchildren, Corey Tyler Laxton (Nikki), Destiny Smith and Brooklyn Smith. She is also survived by: several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Louise Coffey and Imogene Smith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, Oliver and she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Oliver, Jr., Harold Eugene, Richard, and David Allen Sullivan; and three sisters, Leila Hicks, Mary Ett Sullivan, and Linda Sullivan. Juanita enjoyed fishing and gardening. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She gave her life to the Lord many years ago. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Smith and Bro. Dusty Hildebrand officiating. Burial was in the Bud Gregory Cemetery. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello, KY in charge of the arrangements.
