Linda Tate

Linda Tate, age 80 of Monticello, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her home. She was born July 8, 1943, in Fort Harrison, IN; the daughter of (the late) James and Elizabeth (Shelton) Caylor. She is survived by 2 sons, Jim (wife Emily) Tate, and John Tate; 4 grandchildren, Sam Tate, Weezie Tate, Elizabeth Tate, and Summer Tate; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allan Tate, Jr. Linda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana and later at the Tuttle’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Monticello. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith McKim officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hickey Funeral Home of Monticello, KY in charge of the arrangements.
