Wayne County hosted Region Dance Competition for 12th and 13th regions

Congratulations to the Wayne County School dancers who worked hard performing a variety of specially choreographed dance routines at the KDCO 12 & 13 Regional Dance Team Competition on February 4 at the Rodney Woods Gymnasium.
Both middle school and high school teams participated in both team and individual categories. Wayne County High School Dance Team were named champions with first overall performances in three categories – Pom, Hip Hop, and Jazz. A total of seven high school dance teams were competing. In addition, several solo, duet, and trio performances received trophies.
The Wayne County Middle School Dance Team received a banner in the Small Middle School Team/Variety category. There were five middle school teams that competed during the day’s events.
“We are very proud of our dancers as they have worked very hard to achieve their goals. We look forward to finishing the season strong at the KDCO State Competition this Saturday on February 24th,” said WCHS Dance Team Coach Bridgett LaFevers.
Special thanks to WCHS Coach Bridgett LaFevers and Asst. Coach John LaFevers for all their work coordinating this special event that Wayne County hosted along with all the volunteers who participated.

WCHS Dance Coaches Bridgett and John LaFevers coordinated the huge event with dance teams from both the 12th and 13th Regions competing in the Rodney Woods Gymnasium.
